Georgia Tech Research Institute Cobb South Campus Buildings L12 and L22

This conversion turned a Lockheed Martin property into Georgia Tech Research Institute’s South Cobb campus. It needed to be converted for use as cyber security and defense-related research, includes the 245,000 SF renovations of Buildings L-12 and L-22. L-22 is approximately 115,000 SF and will house offices, computing laboratories, electronics laboratories and manufacturing and assembly research spaces. L-12, approximately 135,000 SF, is for laboratory assembly and manufacturing.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design services. The project was executed under a design-build contract with an aggressive delivery date. It won the DBIA 2020 Best Research Facility and 2020 AGC Build Georgia Award 1st Place.
